Birds of prey
Birds of prey from the homeland and from all over the world you can see and experience in the park falconry. Everyday falconer Dagmar Bellinghausen is going to present the flying and hunting ability of their protégés.
The birds of prey spectrum includes the Common Buzzard, the Common Kestrel, the Eurasian Eagle-Owl and Owls to the Black-chested Buzzard-Eagle. Not forgetting the 3 vultures, equipped with an astonishing sense of smell. Even from great heights the scavengers are still able to smell their prey – also in the thick mixed forests on the ground. It is important to know that the animals presented by the falconer are neither tamed nor specially trained for the show and that during the presentations they only show the predator’s natural way of flying and behavior.
When visiting the Falconry no dog may be carried.
